Post Canadian Pricing

I haven't seen this info yet within this forum so here it is:
Canadian Dealer cost for 2002 TL-S: CDN$37,720.
I would love to hear what pricing canadians have negociated so far for this car.
I am talking to a couple of dealerships and will be purchasing in the next two weeks.

Dealer cost accross Provinces?
I don't know, I believe that it probably is the same dealer cost price throughout the country.

CIBC web site only had list prices, no dealer costs.

I got the dealer cost price from http://www.carcostcanada.com/
You have to pay $20 to get this info.
Searched the web for canadian dealer cost price and couldn't find anything so I had to pay (although did not spent a lot of time searching).

In terms of what the dealer will give you the car for. One dealership in Toronto gave me $750 off the list price with very little negociation. I believe I can get more which is why I'm still shopping around.

I paid MSRP for mine but got a pretty good trade for my '99 TL. They get you one way or the other. I have to admit I didn't push too hard for a better deal. I don't have a dealership in Kingston, so I am usually negotiating over the phone to an Ottawa or Toronto dealership. I bought this one from Erin Mills Acura in Mississauga.

Hi oldguy,

How much did your dealership give for a trade in on your 99TL? What type of mileage was on your 99TL?

I too have a 99TL and am looking to trade in for a 02 TL-S. Dealership is giving me $28,000 for my 99TL which has 36,000 km.

have anyone of you test drove the TL or TL-S in the Toronto area? i'm 18 and even going into several dealerships along with my dad (in his 40s), all dealers we visited were pretty hesitant on giving us a test drive! A couple of dealers talked to us pretty directly and basically said that "if we go for a test drive, then we can discuss the pricing afterwards". They were basically telling us that if we wanted a test drive, then we had to sit down afterwards and buy the car! What kinda crap is that? They were really informative though, just pretty pissed off that they basically wouldn't let us test drive without buying the damn car...we want the car, but we'll wait for another little bit (save up a bit more for the car)...has anyone experienced similar thing?

I thought the TL - S is $41k and the regular TL is $37k. Did you talk down the price? That is a awesome price at $37.7k for a TL S

$37.7 is what the dealership buys the car for from Acura. No, I did not get the car for $37.7 (whishful thinking). I'm still negotiating with a couple of dealers. No dealer will sell you the car at cost.
Best offer I got so far is $1K off MSRP.

Hi 3.2TL. I got $28,570 for my '99 TL but it had only 18,000 KM. It sold the same day I traded it. I don't know how much it sold for. The going price in Toronto is around $29.5K to $29.9K with average KMs.
