Sorry to do this it’s problem been asked 1000 times, or not? (id search the forum but a search option eludes me). Anyways, im thinking about buying a Acura later this year (MDX or TL-S) and was wondering if the Navigation System is an option in Canada? (Ontario Canada here), I have been reading a lot of reviews on the TL/MDX and 90% of them are based in the USA, and the ones I read
From Canadian reviews have no mention of the Nav-system,
It’s not really that big of a deal but I am a gadget geek and would like this option

 

No Nav is not an option in Canada. The US Nav system has no data on Canada either.

 

My salesperson told me it'll be a year or so before it's available because they still have some major Canadian cities to map. They've done some, but not all, according to him, and Acura wants to wait for it to be done. Myself, just the mapping for Toronto would be enough. Oh, well.

I go to school on Vancouver island right, so I went to Victoria Acura today.
I was wondering if I really wanted the Navi, could have they do a special order for me. Like I could just get the Map function in one or two years but for now i'll modify it for DVD movie use. Guess what he said: NO.
Well, how does he know. I don't no body ever ask him this question before. But I guess if u really wanted one, some more eager to do business with dealer will be happy to do a special order for u. For extra bucks off course.

 

yea, I dont want to spend 40+k on a car (Canadian dollars) and a year later the DVD for canada is out, but im stuck w/o the abilty to use it, i aslo think it makes the dash look nicer.
I gess i could just buy one in the US. :\
