Can you resurface drilled/slotted rotors?

I am running a set of drilled/slotted rotors on my '03 TL-S, and I have a VERY slight high speed vibration due to the front rotors being very slightly warped. Can I turn/resurface drilled/slotted rotors? They only have about 8K on them so they have plenty of life left in them. The vibration is slight enough that I could live with it, but I want perfection, if you know what I mean. Not bad enough to justify replacing them.

yes, but you must find a shop that can do it and are willing to redo it.

Depending on who the manufacturer of the rotor is, a lot of them specify that their rotors CANNOT be resurfaced, simply because they will be too thin.

Plus, if it can be done, you will need to find a shop that is willing to do it for you, since these types of rotors bring the possibility of damaging the machinery that the shop uses.

I'm in the same boat as you, my irotors are totally warped up front. Just something I will have to live with throughout this winter, and come next spring I'm going with Rotora/EBC combo.

I love the EBC pads, but the irotors unfortunately aren't built tough enough to withstand the abuse that the EBC gives.

I'm totally fed up with the service that irotors as a company provided to me, and personally I think they products are 100% crap. It's too bad seeing as they're prices on the rotors are very reasonable, but like the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Thanks for the feedback sc354, I'll probably just live with mine. You can only feel it if you brake really hard from about 90mph+. From 70mph & under you really can't even tell. I guess I'm just picky/anal about the TL. It is really no big deal, I can put new rotara up front fo under 200 bucks. Like you, I'll probably just wait until spring and slap some EBCs on at the same time.

Points for you for the detailed feedback.....

my irotors are as smooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooth as glass under hard braking from 145-0 every time!

but i can only do that 1 time befor i need to let the crappy axxis pads cool if i want to be able to stop from any speed after that. i didnt ever have that issue with the ebc or even the factory pads for that matter

hahahaha...no one is as crazy as you kris!!! I honestly do not think though that even your set of irotors can't withstand the abuse of the EBC pad. Don't get me wrong, the EBC pads are incredible, but a lot of people have said which I agree with, that the EBC's are very hard on rotors. They "chew" through them in no time.

The reason you aren't having an warping is because...well we all know!!! Damn Axxis sucks...That's probably why after one hard stop from 140+ MPH-0 and they are shot...Plus they dust more than anything else on the market.
