are you driving a 1999 TL?
If so call Acura at 1-800-382-2238 x5 with the cars VIN number in hand
There is RECALL for free replacement of the key/ignition switch-
that sounds like your problem just off the top of my head.

And even brand new parts are known to fail
Several other members had the switch done a few years ago , and the problem occured again. Its recall- they will check it and replace again if needed
Its like the transmission- they were just swapping out parts till they made a better part to use.
Your symptoms are similar to others who had the car suddenly die and give codes
phee: we need your story here!!

Have a dealership or trusted hop check it out, but not do anything. If it's the same repair as the recall, the dealership might be at fault.

i had the recall done as well, try turning the key and pushing it inward toward the ignition. if that gets the car to stay on then its the ignition switch. you can order the part and have it replaced anywhere, its like a 30 minute job. or you can DO IT YOURSELF!!! or visit the dealer, most parts have about a 1 year warranty
