Can this be a Tranny Problem?

How do you know if your car has a transmission problem? Earlier I was driving to Mcdonalds and then it feels like I would be downshifting. I leave the car on D5 and then when i stop and then proceed it would take my car 4 seconds to go. First it revvs then it tries to go forward. This is a bad one.

Could be the tranny ... take it into the dealer and have them take a look at it. The downshifting feel is sometimes normal though ... the engine will sometimes "engine brake" itself when you let off the gas but do not apply the brakes ... Part of the grade logic system.

Should I take it to the Acura Dealer? I also got this one place called EDCO Transmission and this guy at Kragens told me they were good. How much do you think a new Tranny is? What are the results of having a bad tranny?

sounds like a bad tranny to me. take it to the dealer and only to the dealer. It probably will be covered under warranty, if its not under warranty then you can take it elsewhere.

Same symptoms my car had a couple of days ago. Last night, it down shifted hard, and ALL the lights on my dashboard lit up. Off to get a new transmission!
