i am just wondering if u can swap an 3.2 tL typeS engine into a 98 up accord. bcuz the engine compartment is very big in the accord and wen the tL had the 3.0 like the accord the engines were esactly the same. so im jus wonderin if i can upgrade it to the 3.2. and if would b easy like putin a 2.2vtec into a civic

I don't think anybody has tried or even thought about that yet.

You are only gaining 25hp. Might as well wait for a supercharger and put that on the 3.0. It would probably be cheaper and easier.

Sorry, I didn't read close enough. I thought you meant the TL-P engine.

why not put in a 3.2 NSX motor then? it might actually be cheaper since the chances of finding an NSX motor are probably greater...plus the mid engine rear drive layout might actually work quite nicely with the front engine front drive layout of the accord...and while you're at it, put in the NSX 6-spd tranny..YEE-HAW!!!

I almost did it, from a TLP to a Type S. But it was too much money. An used Type S engine with 11k miles was $5k then new ECU $900 or used for like $400 plus because the tranny was going to change from 4spd to 5spd the gauges had to change and the shifter. Labor was $$$$$$

I had a good excuse....my TLP engine had overheated and need it repair which came to $2k that's the reason I said I might as well get a type S engine, but ended up fixing my engine.

The total for the Type S conversion was like $9,000. I decided I would get a new Type S later. Is in fact possible, but costly.

Good Luck
