EDIT: Timbo you work for Ford? I never knew...TRAITOR!
Traitor? I work for Ford I don't own one. Originally I worked for Ford cause it was only 5 mins from my house. Now I'm a damn good parts guy and it pays the bills. I've never owned anything but an Acura. 88 Legend L, 91 Legend L, and now 99 TL-P.

Turbo diesel 7.3L. The 6.0 and the 6.4 are good trucks when they're running, problem is, they're normally not. Ford never quite got the "bugs" out of the 6.0 and the 6.4 has the same problems as the 6.0. If they get it going smoothly, it will be the Ford to have.

The new Mustangs aren't bad. But if you're gonna get a Ford, stick with the trucks.

I'm not sure about reliability, but if you or your dad are looking at a ford truck with longevity, definitely go with a turbo diesel. Plus you can chip them and make them pretty quick for decently cheap! I am no expert but I think a common chip for the TD's adds like 75tq and 50hp for a couple hundred $.
