CAI recap
well I have all the brand of CAI there is out there and here is what I think of all of them from personal experience. I have a 2002 TLS
1.AEM. It was good but the material was poor quality. The pipe broke in 3 months. I had a hole in my pipe and AEM customer service wasnt that great either.
2. Weapon R. They didnt make one for the TLS but I bought one anyways and custom fit it. ITS A NO NO. It hummmm and hummmm and hummmm and hummm like there is no tomorrow. It was louder than when I had a leak in my headers<--- its fixed now. It was horrible
3.Comptech Icebox. Favorite one but I have to give it up because My conversion wont allow me to have the box in there. Althought it was the hardest to install since the box took alot of room. But it was the easiest to clean, just pop open the top box and take of the filter. also didnt have a hissin noise like all the other ones such as AEM or INJEN.
4. The newest CAI i have on right now is INJEN. Even though the design is similar to AEM the quality of the piping is definietly better. It was worth an extra $60 for the INJEN. Even though the hissing is slightly more noticeable. The growl of vtec is much sweeter. Sounds more like a sports car. I like this one almost the same as the ICEBOX.
Over all Dyno aside. All of the CAI gave me little gain. Maybe psychologically the sounds makes the car "seem" a lot faster but i dont know. Cant really tell the difference between call of them. So here it is. I tagged all the CAI. Hope this helps. I liked the ICEBOX the most since it was quieter and easy to clean.
oh yea. An asian lady almost hit me with her TLS today. Stoopid Asian Drivers they cant drive worth a shit. Expecially old asian ladies but most asians in general CANT DRIVE!!!<--- YEs I can say that b/c I am asian and its TRU!!!! But damn that lady came REAL CLOSE of t boning me

are you sure the whole wasn't due to improper installation? When the dealer installed my old AEM CAI, they torqued the bolt where the pipe had the extension to the body too tight, causing the extension to break from the pipe and thus causing the hole...but i got another AEM CAI and installed it myself and made sure not to torque the bolt too tight, and i have no problems for the 2 years it's been on my car

Good question. The injen acutally fits more perfect than AEM. Since the injen filter points DOWn while the AEM points forward so AEM requires alittle more space than the injen. Therefor no mods needs to the fogs
