Post CAI/Ramair

Hey guys,
600 miles on my S and lovin it.
Looking for some thoughts on a couple of
ideas I'm stewing over. I raced street
bikes and now I'm racing cars. On all
the newer street bikes, ram air is the thing.
For those who don't know what I'm talking about, ram air is basicly a snorkel that
runs from the front of the vehicle to the
air box and effectively pressurizes it and
forces the air through the filter. This obviously, only occurs at speed.
And now in cars, allot of the racers are
getting sneaky and running a couple of extra
snorkels up to there air intake.
Have you guys ever heard of such an aftermarket product available? I'm thinking,
instead of going to CAI, of butchering my stock air box and running a length of 4-5"
hose to the underside. What do you guys think? Ever heard of anybody doing this?

Heard of people doing this but not on TLs. I would still be afraid of water getting into the airbox.

I used to do this with my Probe GT. You shouldn't have to worry about water. Even RamAir with the inlet on the top of the hood doesn't bring in enough water to hydrolock. Water just gets vaporized with the fuel and turns back to water somewhere in your exhaust. It didn't really help all that much, but it was much quieter than a CAI.

I heard comptechs air intake is going to be based off this. Stock style intake box with cold air ducting.
