yup... it's much easier to remove the bumper than going from the wheel fender..

I just removed my bumper for the first time to remove my resonator. I installed my short ram before, w/o taking the resonator. Taking the bumper off is a CINCH! Just get underneath with a screwdriver and you'll see about 4 clips. Take those out. Take out two screws at the side and two more in the wheel well. Pull and the bumper is off. It's a 5 minute job. To take out the resonator, you will need an extension for one of bolts.

You do not need to remove the entire bumper (cover). Just remove the left front wheel, one phillips head screw, one 10mm bolt, and about 5 plastic expanding studs that hold the front portion of the inner fender liner to the splash guard/bumper.

Then remove all the UPPER bumper expanding stud retainers to the center of the bumper (hood up to get to them), and pull the bumper cover forward and the innner fender liner backwards.

You can then get to the two 10mm bolts that hold the resonator box in place. Before pulling it down and into the wheel well to remove it, you will have to jiggle loose the short snorkle that is on the top front of the resonator box.

You'll need a flat head screwdriver (to pry up the expanding stud innner portion), a #2 phillips screwdriver, a 10mm socket or short closed end wrench, and a little patience. "Remove the bumper" sounds scary but it it all pretty simple.
