A/C Question

When i turn the A/C knob to auto, It goes full blast. After awhile, is it suppose to decrease or stay on full blast until you turn the knob off auto? because i seem to noticed that it just stays on full blast for me. Is this normal or is it just my car? Thanks

Leave it on auto. It is on climate control. When the interior gets too hot it turns on 'full blast' to cool it down. When it is reasonalbly cooled it will turn the fan speed down. I keep mine at 73. The interior temperature sensor is located to the right of the steering wheel.

So no matter what, you have to turn the knob off auto right?

if you don't have navi, don't forget to press the auto button as well. the display should read "full auto" that's when the climate control is on, otherwise it's just keeps shooting the AC at the temp set, regardless of cabin temp.

I think it works like this: If you have the temp set at 60 or 90, the fan stays at full blast the whole time, if you set it to anything in-between, the fan will adjust its speed accordingly. I live in Phoenix so it stays at 60 constantly. Good luck.

hods is 100% right. even if you have it on "full auto", the ac will stay at full blast at both 60 and 90 and will only adjust fan speed when its between 61 and 89.
