Talking A/C Filter Replacement

I recently replaced the A/C filter on my 2K2 TL-S (30K miles). WOW. I want to change the one on the Oddessey's pronto. Mine were black and dusty. I use the AC 60 % of the time. I can only imagine what the Van's must be like... A/C use on it is about 95%.

For those who have not done so yet... WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

The A/C even smelled good after the replacement. Instructions found on this site were dead on. THANK YOU.

Any one know how to change the A/C filter on a 2K1 Integra? I would really like to find detailed instructions as were found on his site (http://www.acura-tl.com/forum/showth...t=cabin+filter).

if you think that it was bad at 30k, I waited until 90k to do mine. It was AWEFUL. Not only was there dirt buildup but mold had actually started to grow on the filter itself. I noticed the smell right away. No matter what I did before changing it out, I could not get out the stale smell from the car. My wife noticed right away that it was much better after the repair.

Dont think that i will go that long any more :-)

i went to a couple of local autoparts stores and none had the filters in stock.. They had them listed in the purolator book, but none were on the shelves in 2 strauss stores.. Where do you get them from besides acura (i'm sure there will be a standard overcharge there)??

when i finally did mine (around 90k also) there were ALOT of tiny (not sure of what kind) of leaves in and around the filter. all i could say was :wow: there was such an improvement of air flow. i got the filters from the local honda dealer (acura dealer is 1hr30min drive) for 20$ for both

Yeah, the dealer will give you a dealer price, but you get a genuine filter. The Purolator you can find on-line (I am sure) and it is not like you have to have it NOW!, so just ship them faresaver way.

Ahhhhh... I am going to go ahead without the manual on that one.... I think. If I run into complications, I'll let you know... The Integra looks much tighter, and I think there is a module of some sort in there that has to be removed. (STILL WOULD LIKE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE INTEGRA A/C FILTER REPLACEMENT. THX.). Maybe I can get a mechanic at Acura to give me a tip.
