Post A/C Filter, Odometer Questions

I've just discovered this board & am surprised there are no rants about the dim Odometer/Trip odometer/Outside temp panel. You have to take your sunglasses off to read it. Or... am I missing an adjustment somewhere?

Also, the owners manual maintainence schedule says the Airconditioning filter should be changed @ 30K intervals. When I took mine in @ 50K the Acura svc rep talked me out of it. He said they had only changed one, it was $200+, & if I had not been driving in a lot of dust I didn't need it. My question is: has anyone changed theirs and could you tell any diff?

I see you have a 99 that problem was fixed on the 2000 model.

Check out A and H motorsports. You might be able to order a filter from them. They are much cheaper than the acura dealer! Here is the link:

WOW-$200!! I was planning to replace my filter every year as a precaution but at $200 I may want to reconsider. Does anyone know the price for the filter itself?

You must have a 99. the illumination was changed in the '00. there is no way to make it brighter. If you want to retain teh efficiency of your ac filtering, you should replace the ac filter at the reccomended interval. Just my .02
