Buying used springs
for cheap*** like me.
I tried doing a search and nothing similar came up. Nobody can really trust what the seller says, but he claims his H&R Sport springs have 20,000miles on them...lets suppose worst case scenario: 30,000miles. The looked perfect just dusty...for $90 <--its what got my attention
2 questions to worry about:
1) Whats the lifespan of these sport springs (1.75front 1.5rear)
2) Problems with used springs? or buy new for 165+2x shipping on ebay?
3) Would YOU consider it?

its prolly been used for more than 1.5 yrs.
I think its better if u buy them new...
they shouldn't be that much more expensive for new ones.
the problem with getting used springs is that u might have problems with uneven lowering.

Spend the extra few bucks and go with new ones. I debated the same thing and finally decided I'd rather have the warranty and piece of mind. Used gets you nothing but a headache if you have problems with them.

They are just springs. There is nothing mechanical about it. I bought mine used and I dont have any probs for the past 2 years. People here tend to freak out just about any lil thing. Now if the springs are cut then that would be a different story.

u can get it with no problems for now... but if problems arise after the install then u have to pay for reinstallation and a new set of springs... which would cost almost double the moeny and double the time.
but if u don't mine minor problems like eneven lowering ... than its ok

i'm doing the installation myself you see...got it covered...and sry, its not $60 i'd be saving but $102 to be exact. Also, the owner claims the springs have no wear or tears in them, they did look pretty good, just dirty
I'm thinking about sending money by noon, unless someone gives me some solid proff or some other reasonable warmings. thanks!

though I got my Comptech springs used from a guy on here - this was before I knew about the rusting problems and one of them is rusting bad, but the other 3 are good as new. I think you should save yourself the money if it is important to you (like it is me also) because the H&R's dont seem to have any problems.

springs typically dont wear like mechanical parts. H&R is the best made spring out there
but 185 or less new isnt a bad price and you are getting new.
its up to you but there is nothing wrong with used springs with low miles
