burning CDR Music
After reading numerous threads about the Bose system not playing blank discs, i decided to try some of the ideas out to see which ones work.
For those of you who burn 4x or lower, what program do you guys use? I use Nero, but it will not let me burn lower than 4x.
Any ideas?

let clarify a few things, 99-00 have problems reading CD-Rs....
Dem1K assuming the CL-S is 01 and newer, and yes, it should read the CD-Rs fine.
XpothsoX, you cant burn less than 4x because your burner doesnt support lower speeds. Try using a different dye CDs, the darker the dye the better in my opinion (less light reflecting, easier to seek/read), I've used black dyed CD-Rs (SmartBuy brand), worked fine, but I still got rid of the crappy Bose unit anyway.
peace.

I had this problem also. My 99 at one time played cd's but it only played cd's from my HP desktop burners only but it didnt work from my toshiba laptop. I just gave up and bought a cd changer from ebay for $150.

Thanks for the tip, I just burnt some songs on a black memorex CDR and it works. I wasted about 10 regular CDR's trying to get it to work before. By the way I used Nero Express and my TL is a 2000.
