Talking Burn mark

Unfortunately my friend (who smokes) dropped his cigarette into my car while talkin to me today and there is a small burn mark on the floor mat. Any way to cover this up or repair it? any advice would be appreciated.

It will be cheaper if you just buy a set of new floor mats. Just use the old mats during rainy season and the new mats during spring/summer. That's what I am doing.

I got the all-weather rubber Acura mats from the dealer, they are sweet.

Kind of a half-ass fix, but get a razor blade and cut the burner part out, then snip some fuzz from an unseen part of carpet. Glue the fuzz ball where the burn was.

I say get new mats, though. An uphoustry place can fix it pretty good, but it will likely cost almost as much as new mats.

I agree with everyone about replacing the floor mat with a new one.

Just make your friend pay for it. He's the one that caused the damage. He shall pay for it. If not, just beat him up! *lol*

Lesson of the day... do not let anyone smoke in your car.
