burlwood shift knob

I just brought a shift knob and the seller guy said it was an OEM part, but for some reason I don't really believe him. Is there anyway of telling if it's a OEM part. The one I have screws onto the shifter and the bottom chrome trim screws into the shift knob. There's a white Acura A logo on the top of the shift knob. The knob feels a little higher than my factory one. Does that sound like OEM?

the only way to tell would be by looking on the under part of it. It should say Acura on it. make sure the colour matches your wood trim, and that's about it.

The picture looks like the A logo is on the side and the knob is round on top. The one I have looks more like the factory TL-P one with the A on top. The thing that confuses me is the fact that the little silver trim on the bottom of the wood shift knobs screws onto the shift knob as apose to the original one being snapped on with 2 clips than screw onto the shifter as one.

Where is it suppose to say acura? Bottom where? On the silver trim? Thanks!

Just twist it hard counter clockwise, first time is always the hardest.
