Unhappy Bumper scratched

Hey guys. Man i was leaving my skool today and when i got to the car, i noticed the bumper been hit or something. Its like a whole bunch of scratches, like maybe someone was tryin to park and hit my car, but there is no dent. So i was wondering...how much do u guys think it will cost to get the whole back part of the bumper re-painted? I dont want to claim insurance because then my insurance will go higher..wha should i do??

On one of the cooler mornings this winter (roughly -10F) I bumped my bumper (that's what there for, right?) into an icy snowbank trying to get in my driveway. The relative cold made the bumper cover brittle and it flexed and cracked along the side.

Anyone know where a replacement (painted preferred) can be obtained? Anyone had any luck with junkyard bodywork?

If you find a small mom&pop type bodyshop, which isn't related to a dealership, you should be able to get it done for under $250.

I'm not sure what's funny. There was a body shop in the small town in Wisconsin where our cabin is. I took a car there after getting a $2400 insurance estimate from a big city insurance-based body shop. He fixed the car for $600 plus parts, which I was allowed to secure through whatever means I could. I got the needed parts from a combination of Internet and junkyard parts for about another $600. I was the one laughing after that experience...
