You know... A bug screen in front of the radiator... It's not that tough of a concept. Shelly is asking if there is something out there specifically made to fit the TL for this pupose. Or perhaps there's something more ingenious than a simple screen...
We don't really have bug problems in So. Cal, so I'm sorry that I can't help you. But hopefully I helped clarify what you were asking for...
Good Luck!

One word of advice... If you're planning take a long road trip to Florida and you're worried about bugs, DO NOT take your trip in September or April.
Those two months of the year we have our "Love Bug" season. Those bugs swarm right off the road, are full of acid, and are very hard to wash off. If you don't wash them off within a day or so, they will permanently etch your paint.
I bought a product called "Bug Bloc" but have never tried it out; it might be something worth looking into. Apparently, you spray it on a clean car and wait for it to dry (they suggest two coats). The bugs splatter on the protective coating and never actually hit your paint. It's supposed to be easy to wash off.
You may want to consider something like Bug Bloc - since tying a screen to the front of your car will make it substantially less attractive.

Re: Bug Trap available?
Thanks for the info re Bug Bloc. Will look for it here in NYC area. A radiator screen is a simple solution, but one should exist custom sized for the TL.
My "driving down to Fla. bug experience" goes way back, driving a then new '70 Cadillac deVille convertible, particularly in S. Carolina and Georgia in Dec. What a mess! Bugs all over the front [kept convertible top up] and when hood opened all over the radiator grille.

Yow! I thought these only were made for 1993 Crown Vics. Really, I have never seen one of these on anyone's car who appeared to be under the age of "we need free Rx benefits".
My suggestion is do what everyone else does - hose down the front end when you get where ever it is you are going.
I always thought the bug blockers were part of the alien cult that poses as seasoned citizens - you know, they use the bug screen in various deployments to communicate, in addition to the eternally on left turn signal indicator. Clever these aliens. Who would guess?!
