Question Bubbles under Xpel?!

Guys,

I just had Xpel installed last week. There is a big bubble under it and the installer said it will disappear in few days. Well... now is 7 days past by and the bubble is still there. Is it normal? How long usually takes the bubble disappear?

Thanks for your help.

If it's like tint, which I've heard they apply it in the same general fashion, then it could have a bubble. The sun should dry it out in a few days like tint. If that's what kind of bubble it is. Usually you can tell. If it's an air bubble, I'd be a little leary. I don't recommend using a pin or needle to work the air out either, because even though the hole would be small I bet it would still accumulate dust, dirt, etc. You know.

It will go away...

It took a few weeks for some spots to disappear, but they all did. As long as it isn't air, you will be ok. Smart choice on getting the stuff. My front end is in PERFECT shape.

DO NOT USE A NEEDLE

Keep on pressing it, eventually it will stick.

Chester, If the front end is in perfect shape, then where exactly is the rock chip that is "peeling like a banana?" Why did the clear bra not protect it?

How much did you guys pay. I went to Xpel website to get some
quotes. The guy quoted me $625.00 for the bumper $295.00 for
the hood. He finished by saying how he can get it by tommorow.
I told him no thanks,,

Wow!

The local Stongard installer (Web Site) quoted me $404.95 for the materials (TL Kit) plus $140.00 to install. That included hood, bumper, etc. Look at the kit on-line to see what is included.

Xpel and StonGard are pretty comparable from what I have heard.

Huh?! I got it for $450 include materials, shipping (2nd day air) and installation. The kit cover hood, mirrors, front bumper and little bit on both fenders.

Well... for the bubble; I'm going to wait another week. If it's still exist, I'll go back to that installer to check it out.

The Xpel works pretty good and appear much better than the one I had before which was the black mfr bra. However, I still got a small chip on my hood today (where the area is not cover by the Xpel). It was came from one of the construction trucks in front of me on the highway this morning.
