It does not matter where you are from, but once you live in Florida for a while...anything below 60 is COLD!!!

It's sad to say but I wish it was at least 30 degrees out. My temp said 7 degrees this morning and 15 degrees when I got home from work last night.

Most of the consumer digital thermometers/sensors that I work with go down to about -25 before they crap out.
Anyone here come close to that on your TL ???

Mine was 24 in Florida too and just an hour ago, it was 39. You guys will laugh, but I wore a gore-tex, down-filled parka, flannel lined khaki's, a roll-neck wool sweater and still used the heated seats and climate control at 80...Floridians are about to declare a catastrophe!

Ill tell you what, i never used the heated seats before today. I sat down inside my car while i was breathing out smoke. As i sat down, the leatehr seats were freezing and maybe 30 seconds after i put on the seat heaters i felt all toasty but it takes a while for my heat to blow warm air.

Real Floridians don't own any of that stuff.

Seriously, I have a wind breaker- that is all. Plus, I'm a cold weather person at heart. I spent six months in Maine a couple of years ago, and had no trouble walking 1/4 mile between buildings at work, when it was 10 and snowing. When I'd walk inside with no jacket, I had real trouble convincing people that I was just visiting from FL. They thought Alaska.

You Southern guys are Wusses. Thursday morning when I left the house at 6:15AM I saw -7 F. If it was in the 30s or 40s up here we'd be golfing in shorts. :flamer: Maybe this guy will keep you southerners warm.

Why live and learn? It still doesn't get cold enough, often enough, to go buy any sort of cold weather gear.

I could waste that money on any number of other things, before I'd do that.

While I cannot beat anyone's records for cold temperatures, the other day I had an especially enjoyable experience.... Got into the car and started it (inside my garage) and it was 39, then as I began driving for the next 4-6 minutes, I got to watch the gague go from 39 to 7. Wish I had a camera to capture the footage.

Sounds like the IQ of the average driver when it gets cold. Just gets lower and lower.

I love cold weather myself but this winter is getting out of hand. We had 12 consecutive days of below freezing and quite a few single digit readings too!:wow:

From garage to work (3-mile commute) this morning, went from 29 down to -2 and don't know if it was still on its way down when I shut the car off.

I thought I liked the cold/winter but I agree with blackshadow that this winter has been particularily bad/cold! This past weekend hit mod 30s and that was a welcomed relief!!! The majority of days these past 3 weeks has been in the teens or lower!

Gotta love NE weather...seen a high of 103 on the TLS dash and a low of 3 in the past 6 months.
