Broken Headlight.. replacement parts?
So I had a little incident with a fire hydrant in the rain yesterday.. It shattered the lens where the blinker is and messed up my quarter panel. The headlight assembly where the actual HID bulb isn't damaged, but the bulb doesnt work i assume from water damage. My question is will I need to buy, along with the assembly and bulbs, a new igniter and ballast? Anything else? Where's the best place to buy everything?

www.hidextra.com for the hid kit with 2 new bulbs ballast and ignitors for only $59
suggest 5000k color bulbs
ebay for aftermarket headlight assembly
or for oe see our vendor list for dealers who hook us up
you need a couple of clips where bumper cover meets fender

Thanks! Good news: the fuse for the left headlight is blown, so the bulb itself is probably still intact (i hope). And the blinker/sidemarker light still works, but I guess it has a loose connection or something because the blinker will quit working, and then if i hit the headlight a couple times it'll work until i hit a bump.. Should that be something that will go away when I replace the headlight?

Once ya get the new headlamp assembly and open things up, check all the wiring connections. Something may have become bumped or loosened by the impact from the accident. Ya may get lucky. But be careful of not allowing water to get inside the damaged lens. If in doubt, it's a good time to upgrade to the newer aftermarket HID kit for peace of mind down the road.

So my headlight assembly came in yesterday, and this morning I replaced it. I put all the old bulbs back into the new housing and i'm having the same problems with the low beam blowing fuses, and the blinker not working after i hit a bump.. Is this a wiring problem or a bulb problem? Both filaments in the blinker are intact, and the low beam seemed to be okay, but I'm not completely sure.
If this is a bulb problem, then I'll just buy the HID kit off that website you posted (If I can find one..It showed N/A when i searched for our car's low beam...) But if the only problem is damaged wiring then I don't want to spend $60 on bulbs that aren't even going to work..
I guess I'll have the shop I'm taking it to for the quarter panel look at everything when i take it in.
Thanks for your help!

More than likely, ya had to remove the bumper to gain access to replacing the headlamp assembly. Did all of the electrical connections and "HID" components appear ok ? Sometimes , if you try swapping sides with the stuff, you'll know if it's in the misc. hardware of the "HID" system. Some pretty fragile things in there that don't like moisture or even the resulting shock from the prior accident. Are ya getting a new front fender ? Is the bumper still ok ? You'll know if it's simply the bulb by swapping sides !!!! Good luck man.
