Broke my airbox

It happened this weekend when I was cleaning my K&N. It's not that bad really, but you know, I'm upset having a broken part on my car.

Everything went fine, cleaned and oiled the filter, stuck it back in and started to screw the box shut again. Well I noticed one of the screws was a lot higher than the rest, and upon closer inspection, it had been screwed in so tight before that when I had opened the box to clean the filter, I had actually popped out the metal treads on the bottom part of the box. The eyelet that held it was a bit cracked.

A lot of yelling an screaming insued on my part, esp. after I lost the little rectangular bolt down the bottom of the air intake and couldn't find where it dropped out. To make a long story short, I pulled the screw out of the airbox completely and just zip-tied that sucker shut.

So everything is fine now, but I was wondering - how much would a new airbox cost? Just the bottom part that holds the filter. And in addition to that, how do you get it out of the car? There seems to be bolt on top of the wheel well, but I can also see a bolt on the bottom, under the battery. How do I get to that one?

Sorry if I sound like a n00b.

Yeah it's just the regular stock one.

I'd keep using zip ties. They're pretty strong. Should hold until the next time you clean your filter.
