Bring on the Winter/Snow; Im ready

Changed the oil today to Mobil 1, 0W-30 for the winter with my nice oversized Purolator Pure One oil filter. 19's are now washed and clean, in storage for the spring, and the stock rims with the crappy Michelins are back on for the winter inflated to 35 psi up front and 33 in the rear. All my fluids including the windshield washing fluid are topped off, and the ice scraper is in the car

Im ready, are you???

Yup.. all ready here too. Only thing I need to get done is an alignment. Never had it done when I lowered the car... so I'll do it now so I don't ruin the softer winter tires. Everything else is all done... and from the sounds of it.... just in time since we're expecting a Nor'easter tomorrow night!!

Sup Hyde? Haven't seen you posting in a while.

Yep, ready to go, much milder winters over here, just did my oil change, although I don't know if I put an ice scraper in...have to check.

Talking

Time to go to the store to get milk & bread the big 4 letter word SNOW is being spoken in our area . The old ladies with big BUICKS & FORDS will visit or local markets today & tomorrow thats for sure. I will have my winter tires put on at 9AM in the mourning. The ice scraper has been in the car for about a month now & added washer fluid last week. Guys respond to my post on my tire problems.

Tell me more about this oversized oil filter. I always get the Purolator Pure One filter that is suggested for our cars. Are you using a different one. What's the Part #?

Thanks

The Purolator Pure One Part # 24458. The recommended one is actually smaller than stock, this one has a much longer canister.

acclude,
Glad to hear that about Austin. I am flying down there this sunday for a week and leaving behind this crappy weather in the DC area. I would like to see some 60+ degree weather again. In DC, we probably wont get that for another couple of months :-(

Later,
Axe

Putting my 94 Explorer back no the road for the winter, i'm gonna use it when ever it snows out. Adding a second car to my already very expensive policy didnt really cost all that much. Very surprised.

I swapped my rims off last night after I picked my car from the dealer (needless to say I wasn't happy about that). Got my oil changed so I'm all set.
