This is mod is especially for u hzm82. I was gonna wait til i had more time...but since i know ppl don't like to wait..i just did it.

Summary
This mod will make ur parking light brighter by using the Brighter Signal filament instead of the Dimmer filament. It will blink with the dimmer filament when the parking light isn't on. It will have the brighter filament when the parking light is on. It will altermate between the parking and signal filament when you signaling with parking lights on. (depending on which relays u use, u might get hyper blinkers...blinking at higher rates then normal)

Function of Relay
This can explain it better than i can. http://electronics.howstuffworks.com...lay_basics.htm

Tools
Relay (AutoZone, RadioShack)
Relay Harness (optional)
Electrical tape
Crimmper
Wire connectors
Pointy object/tool
Band Aid

First, pop up hood, disconnect your battery!
Then jack up ur car is there isn't enough room to slip ur arm though the wheel well to remove the parking bulb connector. OK...don't remove the connector through the wheel wheel, there is a hole under the hood where the air box used to be *so for ppl who don't have a CAI, u have to do more work*, slip the connector though the hole.

Disconnect the bulb connector from the wire harness. The green wire is the Signal wire, black wire is ground (gnd), and red wire is parking wire. What you have to do is, switch the position of the green and red wire. Take a small pointy object...i used a nail, push it inbetween the metal and plastic tabs and pull on the wire, it will come out. Then switch the two wires. Now the parking wire will activate the brighter signal filament and the signal wire will activate the dimmer parking filament.

Now, cut the red wire; now there is two red contacts....connect one red contact to Pin 30 of the relay, and one red contact to the Pin 87A. Tap into the black ground wire, and connect that to Pin 85. Tap into the green wire and connect that to Pin 86. Tape up Pin 87, it's not used. Then tape evrything up.

Do the same for the other side.

Cutting some electrical tape with a razor blade and i got more then electrical tape. So SAFTEY FIRST!!!

This is what u get afterward...i'm using polarg hyperwhite M-4....it's brighter then it looks in the picture...but not close to read HIDs

Depending on what relay u buy, u might get an increase in blinking rate, this is due to the lower resistance from the relay...you also might get louder clicking noises when the relay activates and deactives. My advice....stay away from cheap relays!! Relay cost from $1-15....i would recommend you goto autozone and get the $8-9 automotive relays, try to get a quiet relay. The clicking noise are louder than the stock clicking noise if you buy the cheaper ones

Looks good Minh! So now when you blink, it'll look very dim during the day?

I'm only afraid that it'll melt the bulb holder. As it did with Kappaboi's.

OH yeah! This also means your front blinker and rear blinker would look like it's alternating at night time. Correct?

During the day time the dimmer filament lights up..but it's still bright...u can totally see it. As for the alternating at night time...never thought of that...but logically...i think it does alternate

During night time...and brighter one will turn off and the dimmer one will turn on at the same time as the rear turns on....so i guess technically its alternating

Hey elegant..i just checked...they DON"T alternate....i don't konw why they don't, but they don't . It's synchronized front and rear blinking.

AcuraTLFan,
so you don't have hyper blinking or loud clicking with the $8-9 relay you got from autozone? this sounds like a really cool mod that i want to do, but i wouldn't want to have the hyperblinking or loud clicking.
thanks a lot!
peter.

Why'd you need a relay? Why not just swap the parking and signal wires? I think if you do that you will get the same effect. Correct me if I'm wrong...

Petrie,
I bought cheap $1 relays from a shop in LA...they click pretty loud when the car is off, but when the car is on, you can't hear it. I do get the hyperblinkers...i think it's a 4-6x blinker...i don't really mind, kinda ricy if you don't mind. But the Bosch Relay for autozone should be quiet and not give you the hyperblinking affect.

Tatewaki.
Well, you technically can...but you don't get the same effect. What happen is when you have your parking light on, the brighter 27 Watt filament is on, so when you singal, the dimmer 5 Watt filament goes on/off....the problem is 27 watt is 5x brighter then the 5 watt filament that you won't be able to see anything blink. So ppl can't tell if you are blinking or not...so the relay turns on and off the 27 watt filament to get the blinking affect.
