Braking and Tire hitting frame!!!
Braking and Tire hitting frame!!!
Ok so now when I was driving home, I had to make a quick stop and when I did thought that someone hit me or I hit something. A loud pop/crashing noise and jolt. Didnt think much of it, I just figured something slid in my trunk.
Now when I brake hard, I can hear the front right tire "rubbing" against the undercarriage. I looked at the tire and can see where the rubber is getting chewed away and see where it is collecting under the wheelwel. What the hell happened???? And how much is the going to cost???

Ehh.. either the bolt on the lower control arm gave, or the shock is blown out and the suspension is held up by the spring only.
Either way, it may look fine when standing still, but when driving, you will keep bottoming out. Take it to a shop right away and don't drive it unless you're going to the shop. Even then, avoid abrupt turning, and definitely avoid hitting potholes or any elevations/depressions on the road. You do not want to bottom out all the way and put a nice hole in the strut tower -- that will be an expensive job, trust me.
