Exclamation Brakes Are Smoking!?!?!

Whats Up Guys I Just Installed My Brembo D/s Rotors And Axiss Semi-metallic Pads And Took My Car For A Test Drive. My Fronts Brakes Are Smoking I Just Took It Around The Block Twice. I Didnt Slam On My Brakes Or Anything Just Normal Cruising Sppeds And Light Braking. I Dont Feel Any Vibrations In The Steering Wheel And I Dont Hear Anything Dragging And The Car Coast Smoothly Doesnt Feel Like The Pads Are Rubbing. Is This Normal? I Cleaned The Rotors With Brake Kleen Before Installing Them Is There Something I Forgot To Do?

doesnt sound like you forgot any thing. are you sure you got every thing off the rotors. my guess is its just stuff burning off. Take it for a lil drive and see if it goes away

WELL I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC DOWN THE STREET FROM HOUSE RIGHT AFTER I POSTED THIS AND HE SAID THAT IT WAS FINE THAT ITS JUST THE PROTECTIVE COATING ON THE ROTORS WELL I M GONNA GIVE IT A DAY AND SEE IF GOES AWAY. A DAY OF DRIVING IS WHAT I MEAN. I ALSO FORGOT TO POST THAT I HAVE ALSO INSTALLED THE OEM BODY KIT I WILL POST PICS TOMORROW OF BOTH MY ROTORS AND AND THE KIT AFTER A GOOD WASHING. AND AS FAR AS THE DIFFUCLTY OF CHANGING THE ROTORS YOURSELF IT ONLY TOOK ME ABOUT A HALF HOUR ON EACH ROTOR THATS INCLUDING TAKING OFF OLD ROTORS AND BRAKES AND INSTALLING NEW ONES. HIGHLY RECOMMEND MAKES CAR LOOK ALOT BETTER AND BRAKES ALOT BETTER.

THANKS FSTTYMS1

RIGHT ON DUDE. I KNEW IT Wasn't ANYTHING You DID. You Have To Make Sure That You Bed In THE BREAKS CORRECTLY. Wow Typing Like This Is Not Only Hard To Do, But Really DISTRACTING And Hard To Read.

ONLY bed in the brakes AFTER you have driven a few hundred EASY miles on the brakes. You want to avoid hard braking for atleast 300-500 miles.
