Brakes

Hey Guys,
I know that this topic has been beaten to death but do you guys think that $275.00 for a set of four slotted only rotors and a set of four axxis pads is a good deal? I know they are not the "best" quality rotors in the world but I do not have a lot to spend, buying a house in the next couple of months. I just cannot stand that damn pulsating coming from my brake pedal that Acura just cannot seem to fix. I think that I am going to need new brake pads soon anyway so I wanted to know what you guys think. Also, for those of us who are not very mechanically inclined, what is a good price for install? I think if I put my mind to it I could do it, it's just that I also want to be able to hold someone accountable if something goes wrong and it always looks better when you have a pro install. Thanks in advance guys-Nard.

go with the irotors cross drilled/slotted rotors, and throw on a set of EBC greenstuff pads at all 4 corners. The whole setup should run you about 400 USD, but they will outlast any of the cheap rotors/pads setup you will find on ebay....

good luck with that.

not necessarily...if you drive like an F1 driver, than yes you may warp the rotors...however if you take proper care with the rotors, this means allowing about an hour of cool down after driving them hard, and not washing your car right after driving it hard (yes I'm a victim of this too....stupid me!!!), then these rotors should hold up a lot better than our stock garbage rotors. As for the warping, I think that the pad has a lot to do with it also. Our rotors sure as hell couldn't handle the aggressiveness that the EBC will provide, however I have spoken to many people who drive the TL with the irotors on them, and even the service guys at their company say that the EBC greenstuff and the irotors go hand in hand, and will work exceptionally well together.
