The only major grip about TL's seems to be their brakes. Any recomendations on improving them without spending a fortune? Better pads perhaps?

My TL is starting to vibrate after I step on the brakes. I have 45K on it so I am going to take it in to the dealer to get it fix.

Is this normal after 45K or is it too early?

Blackshadow, it really depends on your driving style. When you are at speed and step on the brakes and they vibrate after repeated use, than your rotors are warped.

Avatar, just change your brake pads to Axxis Metal Master, it will improve your braking ALOT.

All depends on your style of driving. Naturally if you're heavy on the brakes they will wear much quicker. Downshift in SS mode to save on brake wear.

I always thought the vibration was coming from the ABS kicking in.

You can imporve the braking by changing tires to stickier tires.
