Brake Squeaks?
So for about a couple of months my brakes on my 2000 TL has been squeaking. It's not all the time, just every once in a while and its just a high pitched squeak. I brought it to a shop to get it checked out and they said the brake pads were fine, and they actually found a dead bird jammed in there! After I got it back, it continued to squeak and I just sorta dismissed it. Is this normal? Is anyone else having this problem?

It's not abnormal. If nothing has been changed, and the pads aren't worn down (which the shop would have checked when you took it in), I wouldn't worry about it. You could take the pads off and put anti-squeal 'goop' on the back side of them to absorb the harmonics that make them squeal.......

i had raybestos on my car and it was sounding like a train stopping...so when i went out and got raybestos quiet stops thinking i needed new pads, when i took off the old pads i noticed that they were like brand new. i changed them anyway cause i couldnt deal with that squeeking, now with the quiet stops theres just a really little squeek once in a while.

My brakes dont squeal at all, but lately the steering wheel seems to be vibrating a little from time to time . . it hasnt gotten THAT bad yet, but just a little concerned . . This is due to warped rotors / old rotors . . right ?
