lover and fighter
I got new rotors and the new pads around 15k miles and I have put 28k miles on them since. Pretty hard driving, but not like sc354's driving...

hehehehehe, I'll second that notion!!! I'm an insane driver. Anyways I got new rotors replaced at the equivalent of about 9000 miles, but that was only cause mine were warped. I did learn a good lesson from this though. I realized that the worst thing you could do is wash your car, and get freezing water sprayed on your rotors right after driving the car and heating up the brakes. If you wash your car, make sure it's sat for atleast 30 min so that the rotors had time too cool off. The worst thing you can do is have your rotors steaming because of the temperature difference. Doing that a few times, and you can kiss your rotors goodbye, they'll warp in no time.

since we are talking about brakes..
the standard brake on my tlp is sluggish and when i have 4 other ppl in the car it is very sluggish. my question, can i improve braking performance just by using better pads. kinda tight on money so can't do new rotors and all that. and just the pads will help, what kinda pads are best for the money?
thanks
thanks

Like you said.. it depends on driving style.. but right now I have just under 41k miles and I'm still on the original rotors and pads. I had my car in for service a little over a week ago and if my brakes keep wearing the way they are I should get another 10k-15k miles out of them.
