I just put on a set of 03 tail lamps on my 99 tl and all of a sudden the brake light indicator lamp turned on.... Every bulb works; checked that twice even the twin filaments and everythin checks out and works. What could be causing this problem?

 

Is it the Brake Lamp indicator on ? well i used to mess with signals and stop lights and later on it gave me that warning. I think its nothin man. Probably with some bulbs going out but as you said you checked and found nothin. Then its fine, i think all we need is reseting it

The only time I have the brake light on is ,while using the emergency brake or when i'm low on brake fluid.

 

It might be an unrelated problem.

Solutions in the past have been either: topping off the brake fluid reservoir to the appropriate level; exercising the brake fluid level gauge (the stryofoam part of the cap) - sometimes the contacts get dirty; or exercising the brake pedal, to get the switch exercised - one click will turn the light on, not apply brakes and be hard to notice as far as pedal position goes.
