Bought my TL-S last night and then a crazy story

Signed the papers at 9pm last night. I had checked the car out 12 times before and no problem. I drove it off the lot and went to show my girlfriend. She loved it. I opened the truck, and then........................ it never shut again! The dealer was shut, the acura 1-800 help line-no mechanics on site. I spent 2 hrs tring to fiqure out the problem. I ended up being pissed off and having to tight it down with rope. It wouldn't arm. It looked stupid.

So I got up and went to the dealer at 7h30am. I waited and waited. I then decided to go see if i could see what was going on. I entered the garage and found the guy finishing up after changing the defective part. But then it still wouldnt close. I saw the mechanic get frustrated and try to readjust the hook so it would catch..... and still nothing. He started slamming it, saying thats how it would have to be done. I said screw that, fix it. He then used his weight to twist and move the trunk itself to get it to latch on. Thank God I spoke to the mechanic in the next dock. He came over and was alot gentler with the car and used more precision in his tactics. Finally I asked the new mechanic, lets check th eTL-S your working on, and how the trunck is there. Sure enough the new latch they just installed was also defective. After all was said and done. The new mechanic helped the rough, frustrated mechanic out. Now everything has been put back into place and is fully functionally.
If I hadnt been there, it might not have turned out for the better. The original mechanic at first was trying to convince me that I had to slam it from now on to close it. I never accepted and told him keep trying.

Anyway now its good, and I can now drive my new baby.Always check the work these guys do. it was actaully an Acura dealer, not a Joeys garage too.

Soon to be loving my new TL-S

You were allowed to go the work area while they are fixing your car ? The dealership I went to never let me to that ... they said it was a libility issue.

Anyway, glad you got it fixed. Make sure you fill up the Acura customer survey.

Welcome!

Just goes to show you there are idiots where ever you go.

That mechanic should be fired and hired by Buster's Truck Service.
