Nice clip. Not bad for an old-timer approaching 200k. Video quality looks great, too. Mine gets all blurry when it's dark out.

The tires were spinning that whole time, its hard to tell in the video but i was having a hard time gettign traction and was fethering the throttle to keep it off the limiter as best as possible

That was an awesome clip! Wish you could have kept it going, but I imagine holding a camera while going over 100mph is pretty scary. Thanks for posting that.

Why stop it there? Why not top it out? I'm actually planning on topping my TL out over Christmas to impress a female friend of mine (yeah I'm 19 and it shows )...but she loves "fast cars"(TL fast? ha...) and she really wants to do it so I'm giving in even though I think it is unsafe. I feel pretty stupid for obliging, but will feel like a wimp if I don't do it since she is into it and I'm not. 147mph seems too fast for me but she wants to do it because the fastest she has gone is 135mph in a RSX-S. Hopefully I don't dissappoint. Flame me all you want, I deserve it.

Sorry

Mark

I would tell her she can ride all the way to the top, but she has to be topless by the time you hit 147. That should make things interesting (Considering that the TL at over 140 feels as smooth as at 75, she might want to add her share to boost the rush)

The lights on in the instrument cluster appear to be SRS and the TCS light (because he had the system off).

The back roads you were on reminded me of the opening scene in Jeepers Creepers , it was the first movie I believe, with the BEATNGU truck. That will make no sense if you have not seen the movie.

Cool viedo though, thanks for sharing. I enjoyed it.

It's 16.2 MB and the Windows Movie Maker won't import .mov files (it's a quicktime file) so I can't resize it.

I went to that site, then clicked on "Rad Video Tools" which took me to another web page with downloadable stuff. But I didn't find "Rad Video Tools" on there to download. Or am I supposed to pick one of the items listed on there -- Bink Video, Mils Sound System, Granny 3D, Pixomatic, or Smacker??

You are welcome for the feedback... that is truly what the forums are about. But since there is everything on the net and lots of it, too, anything can be expected. So please do not let that deter your posting.

In anycase, I deserve a whopping

However, putting anyone else at risk (I mean, your car is not a certified track car, right, so anything can happen at those "illegal" speeds) merits that that person reward you with a nice kickback. In my book, some T&A is less of a sin than jeapardy of life and limb, specially if they have the rack to flaunt.

I am not saying "don't do it". Just that it might not be such a good idea to take ANYONE with you while you attempt it. This message will be hard to sink into your mind, however, because of your age. After all, invicibility starts wearing off after you hit a quarter century of life. Most likely you'll be doing this at night when the streets are less crowded, but even with hids, visibility will be reduced to one fourth of what you get to see during daylight hours. A bat going through your windshield at 140+ MPH can cause some severe damage.

The TL (at least the Type-S) is a thrill to get up to speads over 140 MPH, however, once there, it feels just as smooth as at 75 MPH. Make sure your tires are balanced and the car is aligned, that your coolant is topped off, that your sensors are all operating properly, that your brakes are good and that you have plenty of blacktop to achieve the desired speed. It takes a while to get up to the top (maybe even more than a minute). I also recommend use of a top fuel such as CITGO's 93 octane or better.

Oh, and the classy thing to do for this girl would be to sign you and her up for THIS THRILL

Going back to the top, however, don't stop posting and let us know how it went.

Thanks for the technical advice on topping the car out...that was more what I was hoping for with my first post. I just made the mistake of providing too much background info, thus opening the door for digressive comments.

most hijacked thread in my short AZ history...sorry guys

Kris,

Love you videos, the only thing you were missing in the second video was to get some air time (maybe a big hill or something) that would have been awesome.

Rob, nice driving, when I play that game I am all over the place.
