Bodykit for '01 TL

Hey people...My friend has an 01 TL and we need to know for the OEM body kit upgrade...do we need to remove the front and rear stock kit? We know that we have to remove the side skirts, but according to the directions by Mr Hyde, he doesn't mention anything removing the front or rear. It seems that the front and rear OEM body kit just fits onto the stock kit and requires some drilling and that's it. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!

The front lower needs to be removed. The rear stays in place. I believe the '00 and '01 are identical; therefore no drilling is required. Shouldn't take you more than 2 hours or so to install.

Oh a couple more questions...my friend has removed all the bolts including the two security bolts on the sides and the front lip still won't come off...is there any special way of taking it off? And also, are you sure the rear doesn't need to come off? It looks like a replacement also.

There are 2 plastic clips (one on eash side) that are hiding. You have to look at it closily.
And the rear skirt is add-on. It's not a replace ment. You just have to slide the clips nuts(13) through the holds under the rear bumper cover and bolt it on.

There's no double sided tape. You just have to bolt it on. Better watch out for some gap on the rear skirt.

I don't think there is enough material between the stock rear skirt and where the new one attaches to get a good bond. I found that wedging the rear skirt upwards while cinching down the bolts takes away most of the gap.
