quick question for you cats with a body kit on your tl...how does it sit on the front bumper...i'm askin because i freakin scraped my front lip in a parking lot...damn high curbs!!! and i was wondering if the body kit would cover the scrapes on the bottom...or will i have to get it repainted??? just wondering...

 

The front lip replaces the existing piece, so those scratches shouldn't matter as long as they are only on the small lip piece.

 

Yup. You could look at the gallery to see the front piece of the body kit. Hopefully the scratch doesn't extend to the main bumper.

 

cool...yeah...the scratches are all below the indent where the bottom lip meets the main part of the bumper...hopefully i'll be okay...but i still gotta figure out a way to get rid of those lil rock chips i got on my bumper...damn va highways!!!

 

But then it's a lot easier to scrape with the lip...

 

i say just leave it if its small, but if it bothers your try touch up paint.. once your lip totally scrapped.. get a new one.. fixing the little here and there adds up especially if your planning to get it repainted every time it scraps..

If you add a kit to your original bumper arent you just going to scrape your kit up even more? Or am I understanding the question wrong?

 

i scraped because i was in a parking lot that was made for smaller cars...and as i inched toward the curb i underestimated how hi the curb was...so i scraped a little bit because i went a little too deep in the parking space...it was a compete accident and i'm a complete idiot for doing something like that (it shouldn't ever happen again)...but i've been saving to get a body kit...and was only wondering if i should repaint the bumper before i have it installed...or will the front lip of the body kit cover my scratches on my lip so i won't have to repaint it?? i know it will be more suceptible to be scraped because it is lower...i'll just have to be doubly careful...anyways...i hope this cleared things up a bit.

 

The wings west front must be way lower, cuz my front lip is all scratched up, i scrape everywhere i go, and I have comptech springs.Gotta angle my way around everywhere I go.
