Body kit, no drop, and no spoiler?

I'm just wondering if anyone has any pics of a TL with body kit, but without a spoiler and without a drop... I know you'll all say that's a bizarre combo -- but pics would be appreciated...

Thanks guys! Great pics! I quite like the look! Was thinking of getting a body kit (is the clearance price quoted in another thread still holding?? --- $399, painted ????)... Can't spend a whole lot of money modding the TL, so aren't going to get a spoiler. Possible: body kit (for '99), new tires, new rotors, and whenever my rear view mirror is totally non-dimming (almost there!) - will see about replacing the OEM mount and installing an auto-dim with compass, and hopefully an in-dash 6 CD player or something else that'll work with CD-Rs....

Actually, you can get the spoiler with the clear LED for less than $200 shipped I believe. A while back I got mine for like $175 shipped... it might be a few bucks more now. PM NYDesi80, he has the guy's #. A lot of us ordered from his contact in Canada.

hahaha... thanks bxscig! funny thing: i just created a thread (prior to reading this) asking for that spoiler-guy's number. was wondering if he could provide me with a body kit. i don't think i'll add the spoiler either way.. just the kit... i really do think those pics look awesome with the kit & no spoiler anyway.

I think the kit they're talking about is for 99-01 only from that Ray Laks Acura. No way you're getting an 02-03 kit for that cheap.

i believe he is the parts manager of Acura of Athens, in Georgia. But he also does business online. I dont know what his prices are for the 02-03 kit, but for the 99-01 it comes out to like $393.28 or somethin like that.

personally, if I had to choice 1) Bodykit (no spoiler), and no drop or 2) a Drop w/o kit... I'd choose the "drop." Aesthelically, I think it looks better... but obviously, you'll lose ride quality too. But that's just me...

I'm NOT anti-body kit... I've had bad experience with them.

Now... IMHO.... like my car... NO kit, but wheels (19") AND drop!!! It's subtle, but I get a lot of looks (I also painted my brake calipers red, which gets a lot of attention... in a subtle way).

What was the 'bad experience' you had with your body kit?

It wasn't with my TL, but with a Mercedes Benz (a long time ago), anyway... the paint started to fade, the car started lookin' like it was a two tone car! Then.... started fallin' apart... and at times... part of the kit was just dangling... I'm sure it was just installed improperly. Bad paint too (perhaps). But after that... I started to notice that some cars do really look better with just a drop AND wheels. It's subtle... Another way I think of it... I honestly think the kit just adds more weight to the car, now if you're lookin' for more aerodynamic... just by droppin' the car you're gonna get that anyway. But I don't want to insult anyone... it's just my opinion. Keep in mind... car makers spend millions on design and research, if the car really performs better with a kit... they would've just design the car lookin' that way... So, it all comes down to is... aesthetic, right? Then it's just a matter of opinion. Again... personally I like the TL w/o kit but with a drop AND wheels.
