Body Kit Install

I recently purchased an Extreme Dimensions Spyder Body Kit for my 02 TL-S. Can anybody give me advice/tips for doing the install?

yikes...

well.. take it to a well known shop that does installs for body kits.. you should ask your locals..
only reason i say you should take it to a shop is because it won't be 100% perfect fit.. they'll probably have to shave here and there

The only thing I would do is keep the rear bumper with an OEM kit.
Because I just dont particularly like how 'high' our rear bumper sits
Kill off the rest with fire!!!

hanks everyone sorry I didnt see all of the replies until now. It used to send me an e-mail Idk why it doesnt now. And i don't think it gives it a 'ricey' look, just something different. I'm not putting a ricey exhaust on it or anything, I just like the little exotic look to it. Plus I got it for free bc some lady hit my back bumper and just sent me a check rather than reporting it so that easily covered the body kit...

my only problem in taking it to a local shop is that i don't trust them around here. I live on base and every business around here is always looking to screw marines over for as much money as possible.

If you like the look your best bet is to take it to somewhere that has a good rep, ask around word of mouth is the best way to find out. Google any good shop you have in mind and see the reviews. Or you can return it and get the aspec kit which happeneds to look sexy AF IMO. Hope this helps bro.

On the 3rd gen tl it is referred to as an aspec kit. On ours it was only the oem lip kit but somehow people started calling ours aspec kits or type s kits. When really there all the same for our generation

The oem one has been discontinued so check junk yards or find used ones for sale. The was on eBay are fiberglass and don't fit well? The first bad hit it takes will destroy it.

I definitely paid a premium for my OEM front lip, side skirts, and WW rear lip. I'm not proud to say what I paid for them but it wasn't so bad because I pieced together the kit over the course of a year or so.

I spent almost 2 years looking for the oem kit, gave up and got one from ebay. Cheap price but you get what you pay for. Still have to install it, fiber glass can crack easy so that's not good. I hope it looks nice after painted atleast. You should go 19's or even 20's with that body kit. It's a big kit, big rims and 3 inch tips would make it look right imo.
