Blue LED Gauges

Blue LED Gauges
I just recently finished converting my stock Gauge bulbs to blue LEDs. they look great, but my needles don't light up that much anymore. has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? I am thinking of possibly trying to solder some small LEDs behind the needles to light them up but not sure if it will work.
Also after i finished the guages my SRS system light is now constantly on. Not sure why its on, i didn't do anything except disconnect the cable. Has anyone else had this problem?

When I open it up again i will try removing the blue filters if i can. Might try to add some more LEDS at some point. My pics dont want to post up to on here but this link might take you to them, there are some on my profile

In order to get them brighter you will have to CAREFULLY remove the filters. Also the best way is to add individual leds. I added 2 separate white for the needles and like 6 smd led for the blue and 6 or so for the red

Trying to get a pic is hard. In person they are much better looking. I still have a fet things i want to touch up an fix if i ever get a little spare time.
With just the white for the needles

No diy. You just need to take everything out and play with LED location. I removed the colored filter on the gauge faces so that things were brighter and i could use what ever color i wanted.

I wired mine up to a switch that i can control on/off, just red, just blue.
Tip's. TAKE YOUR TIME.... That is the key. Dont rush it. Especially removing the greenish filter from the gauge faces. If you decide to take the needles off to remove teh gauges you must be really careful. Then start placing the leds in and powering them up with a 12v source and see how they light things up trying to eliminate any hot spots.

It does/can (if you take the time to wire them to it) but the dash dimmer is a pos I plan on adding a different one, one that actually dims more than a few % and can fully shut off.
