GOOD FOR YOU!! Thats pretty damn good!!

Now all you need are the CT headers...I'm sure that will shave at least .5 off!!

Now all you have to do is convert it to RWD and change to 6-spd tranny.

Great times....with some stickier tires and practice, 13.5secs might not be out of reach.. ..Nice work.

It's about the same $$ either way, I've had both,....JetHot looks better, but the Swain is supposed to hold the heat in a bit better. I've been happy with both.

Yes it is quicker but traction is a beotch! From a roll you can get it to hook up, kind of, but from a stop, forget it.

Slicks are needed, and we're not going there,.....well, at least not anytime soon.

The trip to the track was to satisfy my curiosity. 90% of my driving is on the highway, over 40k per year, and I won't be going back to the track soon. The transmition cooler went on at the same time as the blower. I check the condition of the fluid often, and with 23k miles, 15k with the blower, it's still fresh, so hopefully I won't have a problem. I'm interested in the transmition upgrade available from Velocity Resources, but probably not unless mine takes a crap. I've accepted the fact that I may have to replace it and it's part of the price to pay when modifying the car to it's limits. I plan on adding an intercooler, engine management, and spinning the blower to it's maximum rpm. That will surely test the limits of the tranny.

You posting this has caused me to definitely plan to get the sc, Modaddict...
Just seeing the same 60' yet you finishing almost .7 seconds quicker and almost 10mph quicker is monumental in my opinion. I, like you, do mostly highway driving and a lot of it near South Florida where it is often wide open. The sc will certainly shine even more from a roll, than the fwd, traction limited problems derrived from zero mph...

Modaddict: I didn't know you lived in Grand Rapids. I have family over there. It's a small city and the only thing I recall seeing over there was a few E36 M3's running around with numbers on the side(assuming they were coming from a SCCA auto-X). But I gotta visit you next time I come in town.

get some suspension, tires, lighter wheels, and a catback exhaust with 2.5 or 2.75 inch piping and you will be running mid 13's. I wonder what a 6 speed cl-s is running. You can run better times than that, because blown accord guys are running 14.2's and one even hits 13.9's modded out.

The suspension needs to be tightened up in the front somehow to eliminate the mad wheel hop, and the tires, wheels, and cat back, are just a matter of time and money, but the intercooler and piggy back EMS are next in line.

You don't want to do that with 91 octane! Maybe with a piggy back engine management system to retard the timing, but you need to be careful with the low octane fuel out there.

But yes, Comptech sells it.

That California curse!!! Just curious, did you put the plastic shrouding back on the engine? I left it off, I thought it would retain too much heat around the engine.

Same here. I also had the headers coated to lower the engine bay temps.

Wow, 50 to 110 comes very quick! Just took it on the freeway and I'm still getting use to it. Scarry! Too much traffic on LA freeways even at 12 midnight! 0-60? I need to get a stopwatch. Modaddict will have much better times than me, since he has a drop, and other good stuff I don't have.

With a 13.87 at 103mph, and a 2.25 short time, 0-60mph ought to be in the 5.2-5.4 sec range.

:lol1: H=ll no! I haven't a clue. I did install my Neuspeed strut bar, so at least I'm not a complete idiot. Scalbert has offered in a round-about way. Honestly, if I cannot find a dealer to do it AND warranty the tranny with it, I would like to have scalbert do it so I can watch and at least learn something. The install $$$ don't matter to me, it's either warranty or learning a little something that does...

There are some Union 76 stations that sell 100 octane gas... at $4.50/gal.
