blitzsafe help

Hi,

I did all the search I can but the more I read the more confuse I got . I have a used Alpine CHM-S620 cd changer w/ a 8-pin round connector. What types of Blitzsafe adapter do I need? Can I just use a 8-pin entension cable (which I have already)? I think the cable is called PIE cable or something like that. What will be the difference btw using the cable and Blitzsafe? And if I end up needing a Blitzsafe, what types of extension cable do I need to run the wire to the trunk?

BTW, I searched ebay as well and there are some Blitzsafe w/ yellow label and others are black/white. What are the difference, new vs. old?

Very appreciate everyone's help.

There's an Audio section on this board for these types of questions.

i think all you have to do is plug it in and that's it! those adapters are used to create an aux input for better sound when connecting external devices.
