You are joking, right? I dont have a TLS, and I know that the top one is it.

Perforated leather on wheel, perforated leather on shifter, insignia on shifter, built in cd changer to name a few!!

Sorry, the flash on the cam was too high(overexposure), took the pic at night.

Yup the blackwood came up pretty bad in that pic. To all potential owners, see it for yourself, and dont use these pics as a reference.

Yikes! How about purplewood? OK, I know it was only the exposure. I remember seeing some other pics here of the bowling ball trim kit (Mr. Hyde, maybe?) that looked pretty sharp. Personally though, I think I'd stop below the radio, and just stay with the console trim. Beyond that, it gets a bit garish, IMO, in either black or brown.
Has anyone seen the graphite trim set pics posted in the TL forum? Looked nice, but I'd like to see it in person.

The top one is the Type-S. Can't miss the big, red S on top of the shift knob.

I just can't get used to seeing the black and gray wood trim on the Type-S. Maybe it's because I've become too accustomed to seeing all the brown and black wood trim on most vehicles. Personally, I like the latter more. An Acura salesman told me the brown and black wood trim wouldn't look good on a Satin Silver Metallic/Ebony Type-S with the brushed titanium finish on the shifting area, but I think it would. I might even have the standard black and gray wood trim removed and replace it with the brown and black wood trim.

Any thoughts on which one looks better with an Ebony (black) interior?

Neither one....I have brushed aluminum trim and gauges(bezel), the wood will be replaced with carbon fiber, both center console and doors.

Oh man, too much wood on both. However the extensive bowling ball trim really sucks. Too much of a marginal trim to start with. It looks okay with the stock trim because it blends in with the black leather. But when you extend it further like the picture in this thread, it takes over and stands out too much. It is nicely understated in the stock trim level. IMHP

I have never seen so much fake wood in my life, if u have fake wood just leave it alone, that grey wood is awful, even Lexus has a kinda grey wood called ECRU, it's ugly to me too but at least it is real....

I'm not finish yet. I'm working with Tim to get the door panels carbon fiber. Talk to Tim at Sales@autocarparts.com. The brush aluminum trim is like $200 and the bezel is like $100. Carbon fiber on the original wood kit....????? Will know later.

You know, that overexposure makes it look like crap! I mean, I have it in my car and I went YUK!!!

I really does not look too bad, in fact, everyone that sees it in person likes it!

Oblio, how did you set your camera for your pic. It seems well taken. I put mine on AUTO mode, and everybody on this forum is pissing at the pic (Over-exposure)

I think I'm gonna retake another shot again when I get the trick with the camera.

If you have exposure compensation on your camera, set it to -1 to -2 EV to make your pictures darker.

Davidas,

I just took the picture in daylight. The camera did its' own thing.

If you look at my original posts when I got that wood kit, I remarked that the bowling ball wood looked worse in the direct sunlight than at any other time. By using a flash, it was like there was Super Sunlight!
For some reason, it just does not look great in extreme light.

Don't feel bad, I know it looks good!
