Black out headlight and light output

Does black out headlight reduce light output on the road? I am debating to do that or not. I like the cool factor, but I don't want to make the road look dimmer. Any comments from ppl with this mod?

I would think that the OEM ones, from the A-Spec or 6speed CL are designed so they do not lose light output.

I did on another car and it did drastically. With tint on windows and headlights very hard to see when turning.

why would there be?
cuz the black painted part are just basic chrome, they are not designed to reflect the light onto the road...

Yeah, I guess we would need to ask peiqinglong what kind of Black out does he meant?

Are you talking about a black plastic cover or film ( like those beloved 5.0 mustang in late 80's ?? I think it's called GTO or GPO ) this will reduce your light a lot, but with HiD on our cars, it could still be better than other cars with Halogen lights.

If you just take off the cover and paint the trim ( kinda like those Type R models or CL-S 6 speed ) It should not affect any output because the reflector still there doing their job.
