black housings...take out the amber or not???

i was just wondering...ill be going to japan on saturday for 10 days...and while im gone my friend is gonna take apart my car and do my headlights...hes gonna smoke them black and pop off the cover from the headlight....my question is...should i leave the amber reflector in or take it out? amber looks more JDM and the headlight would still be considered legal, but if i took it out it would look cleaner and much more of a euro style look to it...wutchall think i should do?

Take out the amber!

If you absolutely have to stay legal, then buy the Ricks2k.com clear diffuser for your car... http://www.ricks2k.com/products/aucruadiffusers.php

They're $72 per pair, expensive ... but you'd be legal.

I have my headlights blacked out and cleared and I've never been bugged by cops before though ... *knock on wood*

ive had both on my car, with the reflector and now i have it without, and i think it looks better without it. I think it looks good with the reflector if u have the 02+ headlights.

If you really want the clear diffuser, you can make one yourself. Go to Home Depot and look for light covers for long halogen light fixtures - the light fixtures in schools and other big buildinigs that have lights with 4 long halogen tubes.

Have you tried? How could u bend it and keep it bent though since there are no clips on those reflectors.

Personally I think keeping it clear looks better than the clear diffuser.

I say take the yellow piece out and put a clear one in. My friend and I did one on a prelude for the tailights and it want too bad. Just take the yellow piece out. Go to home depot for lighting and they should have clear piece. Jsut make it a little bigger so you can sand down the sides. As for clip wise, just make a clip, its not that hard.

Hell, pick me up a Mugen lip spoiler while you're in Japan, and the JDM badges. I'll compensate for the trouble.

The amount of compensation depends on the amount of money saved compared to buying in the U.S. Call for details.

I'm actually very happy that I left it empty instead of buying the clear reflectors. It looks MUCH cleaner without it.

What does this have to do with JDM?

God, I'm sick of people just spitting out the term JDM about everything.

i can see you don't know what a jdm look is. oh well seems like if you were to enter a hawaii show you would take home nothing

Uh-huh, right.

And over here, you would be considered a ricer. "Leave the factory reflectors in to go for the JDM look."

Since the parts were already installed from the factory and sold in the U.S., wouldn't that be technically USDM? I mean, do you have your steering wheel on the right side in your TL (or whatever car you drive)? But I guess you can call it JDM as long as the amber reflectors are still in.

Besides, I don't do shows. Most shows are fucking gay and full of rice. I prefer to do my own type of show at my favorite dragstrip and road course, thank you.

i doubt it. you will be lucky to get 10%off. mugen always sell at full retail.

by the time Actuality travel around japan shops, front the money, bought one, bring it to US, he still got to pay customs. the conveinence fee will be more than kingmotorsport. and by that time if he ask you for his conveinence fee and it comes out more than you willing to pay the 360 the first place. then he lose money because you did not give him any deposit, and if he does find one at a good price, let say shop sell it below cost to blow inventory or used. i think he will keep it for himself first or sell it to highest bidder in here before thinking about your conveinence money
