has anyone done one of these? what is the benefits of these flushes and is it good for our cars over 70k miles?

 

If you're at 70k miles, then it definitely would not hurt to have this done.

The benefit is that it'll flush the inside of the engine, getting rid of most of the carbon build-up and whatnot. Thus, the engine will run smoother and restore the power it had before.

I don't know how much they are charging, but if your car feels sluggish and old, then it's worth the money to get it done -- just shop around before you get it, as most oil change shops offer this service, as well. And they are usually cheaper than the dealerships.

 

Pep Boys offers this service, and they all have the newer Bilstien machines.
I think when I had mine done it was like $85. that included the oil change.

 

i have used the machine many a time. and i personally think for anything less than a $100 dollars it's worth it. you should see the crap it gets out
