Better motor mounts?

My front and rear motor mounts are shot and will need to replace. I already stumbled across the DIY thread as I will be replacing it myself. For those that have replaced it, should I just replace it with the OEM or aftermarket. I usually buy parts from RockAuto and they list DEA as the OEM. They sell the vacuum hose with the Anchor and Beck but they are 30 dollars more. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I think the DEA mounts come with the vacuum assist as well. Those were the ones I was going to use. You can pick up a set of them on Ebay for 100 or so.

If the OEM units actually lasted I would buy another set, but to me there is no sense in spending more to get a part that might not last as long as a cheaper aftermarket unit.

Whatever you buy lube all bolts with some pb blaster the night before.

I put a beck side mount in a couple of weeks back. The cheapo mount I had in there before fell apart after I removed it. Happy with the beck so far.

Those aftermarket mounts they sell at Rockauto are made in China. For China mounts, you're better off getting the whole 5 mount kit (3 engine + 2 tranny) for around $120 on ebay. I got the vacuum ones for less vibration at idle. They look exactly like oem.

Yeah, Beck/Arnley products are a well respected line of aftermarket parts, IMO.

But, it don't matter what brand ya use when replacing the top passenger side mount, it'll get chewed up rather quickly if the front mount's shot.

Ok so i guess im going to go with the DEA as its rated high and only costs 30 for the front and 20 for the side. The rear mount is still good as well as both tranny mounts. The car only has 70k on it I might consider the set if they go out after 100k.

If you want a better motor mount I'd consider our XLR8 motor mounts.
