All of the mods posted could give better acceleration. Personally, Intake + headers + maybe exhaust would be my favorite mods to put on it. If those 3 are too much, the most reasonable mod is a CAI. But, recently there has been a talk on ultrasonic sparks that give a large performance boost. I think shyne was the person who put them on his car, and it sounds as if he has fallen inlove w/them.

If I put an intake on, would I even be able to feel any difference at all? I had a Nakayama exhaust on my old Ac, but I am going for more of the luxury/clean look. suggestions?

With an AEM CAI, you will feel the difference...and you'll also hear it. For exhaust, i'd go w/ comptech or mugen.

Question Better Acceleration?

What mod could I add to my car to give it better acceleration. I was thinking intake or new plugs. Any thoughts?

Mugen sounds like stock. Comptechs have a low rumble, very sweet.

Go with the plugs, and I'll put a $50 dollar bet that I can beat any TL with headers, exhaust, and intake ... The best thing I like is that I have not added noise that will cause the wrong type of attention(cops), while racing...

Shyne--Offshores it's easy to find whores ...

I would have to say Headers and Intake. Exhaust, IMO was a waste of money. For $500 and Comptech claiming 2HP gain ain't worth it, but Mike or someone here gained like 10HP at the Dyno so you'll get mixed feedback regarding this. Ofcourse, Headers will give you the most noticeable power for available bolt on stuff. Intake was the first thing I got and I noticed the power.

well, I think I/H/E will do. This is basic. Then you can get the pulley, and Vetc/fuel controller. Then you can spend some money on getting force induction.

If you want the cheap way, NOS is the answer. But you know that there are limitations to it.

I personally would upgrade the brake and suspension before gain some hp... I don't know much about the 97. But my 00 TL is actually pretty fast. I was on my friends IS300 & GTS. Now, they do "feel very fast" but the reality is that my car can hang with them for sure....
