best way to sell?

I am considering selling my TLS because I really can't stand the ride - it is way too firm and I'm having trouble with the MXM4 tires on grooved roads, the car "catches" onto the grooves and sways all over the place... anyways I do not want to spend more money on mods so here is my question...

I'm leasing through AMHFC, they have an office in Orange county but told me that they cannot give out a title over the counter but will mail it 10 days later. Since I do not have the cash to payoff what is the best way to get the seller to payoff the lease and transfer the title to his name? TIA

Sorry to hear you're not happy with the car. Every vehicle I've sold over the last 7 years came from posting ads on free classified sites on the 'Net. Do a seach and you'll find a few.

I'm also not sure, but make sure you check with AMHFC or the local office about any requirements you have on a lease transfer. I'm sure you've done that since you've been to the office, but aren't there some different requirements on a lease transfer??

This is a strange reason to sell the car. You sure its not something else? If the car rides hard, and has the probelms you are talking about, why don't you buy better tires, and get comptech sways? I bet you this will take care of it.

You don't want to spend more money on mods? You will surely loose more than those two simple mods worth giving it away now though?

Upside-down

If you leasing with $0.00 down your lease payoff is now several thousand more that your car is worth. I checked the payoff on my TL-S with 8K miles and it is 31K right now. The most I can possibly get for the cat is 26-27K. So I am 5K upside-down. SO I am going with mods. Springs, sways, wheels and tires will cost around 2.5-2.6K.

I don't think there is a mod out there that will make the ride LESS firm. You can make the TL-S handle better, grip better, take the twisties better, but usually at the cost of some ride HARSHNESS. I kind of agree with the java man. The ride is a little too firm. Today I drove from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara and there are some sections on the freeway where I almost needed a neck brace after driving.

Of course this drives the wife crazy, but I just love that V-TEC! I also know that if the ride were more cushy, it would definitely lose the handling edge...

Just my thoughts.

Tires will a larger sidewall and less tire pressure will make it ride less harsh if that is what you want.

Then it will look like a 4X4. It's too high already!
