Hi I'm new to Acurazine and have not mastered the search function yet. I'm sure there is a thread out there about this, but can't find it (This may not even be the right place for this thread...).
Anyways, I am looking to buy some parts for my 99 TL off the black market and could use some help with proper protocol (eg. payments before or after receiving shipments). Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

always look for trader ratings (located under username)

it will tell you if they have made transactions before on acurazine. also, if their previous buyers were satisfied.

be weary of sellers with new accounts (usually very low post counts and recent join dates). much like yourself.

communicate with the seller, ask questions... and look for other standing members of the site vouching for the seller.

Thanks for your help. I will have a little more confidence now when buying on the black market.

One more thing. I'm guessing payments are usually made before the shipment of parts and usually through paypal, correct?

^yes. no one is gonna ship parts to you without the money

Makes sense, but is there any way to protect the buyer in case the seller doesn't ship the parts once receiving the payment?

you could file a claim thru paypal...n warn a moderator from this site... mods cant get your money back...but the claim could....

The BM works off of integrity. We have an underlying trust between us, so just stick to sellers that have a decent post count. Not everyone really uses the trader rating, so it might not be very reliable. Either way, a bad seller will only ever get to steal once. Ron A will make sure of that.
