I need a 1999 tl engine and would like to know where to get the best price

look up places that have rebuilt units on the shelf
no you cant drop a later year engine and 5 speed in without major finances

Check your local ads, junkyards and speedshops there are quite a few JDM import shops that sells imported engines 4 less.

local speed shops are a good idea, those guys are always pulling motors to drop in something bigger and race prepped
